Vision

The vision of Oakbrook Church is to create and grow disciples of Christ. This is achieved by deliberately and purposefully moving people from where they are to Christ-likeness. Our vision is supported by the purposes of Oakbrook Church.

Purpose

The purposes of Oakbrook Church are:

• Love God with all your heart
• Grow to be more like Christ
• Serve your community, world

Loving God means that we personally experience His love for us, and show our love for God by worshiping him and being obedient to His will.

Growing in Christ likeness is how we model Christ to others. Just as Christ himself grew in knowledge (Luke 2:52) we are expected to grow as well. While we are never going to attain perfection, we are commanded to “press on” to the goal of becoming like Christ. (Phil 3:12-14)

Serving our community is a big part of Oakbrook. Whether it is within our local community of Sussex, or our friends in Brazil, Oakbrook exists to serve those in need.
