Sussex Sledding Party – Date Change
4 volunteers are needed to help out on Saturday Feb. 18; 12:30-3:30pm.  Judge a snowman building contest or help out with crafts.  Sledding will be in Village Park.  Call Greg Hahn for details at 414-202-6705.

2nd Annual White Elephant Gift Exchange / Potluck Dinner
Sat, Feb.18 Oakbrook’s Potluck Supper with the exciting white elephant gift exchange will be held at the Sussex Community Center at 5:00pm on Feb.18.  Sign up begins January 29th.  Come for food, gifts, board games, and lots of fun!  Contact Jamie Brzezinski for more information.

Annual Brewer Game & Tailgate
Mark your calendars for our annual Milwaukee Brewer Baseball outing on Fri., June 1. We’ll tailgate before the 7pm game. Cost is $22. per person. Watch for details & sign up in February.

Church Picnic & Worship
Mark your calendars for our annual church worship and picnic in the park. July 1.  There will be a baptism opportunity for those interested.

Video & Audio Teams
The Video and Audio teams are both looking for additional members who can serve one Sunday per month.  Help create and run the screens during server and adjust the audio to make everything sound great.  Contact Scott Daniel (Audio) or Steve Schmechel (Video) for more information.

There are yard signs at the table in the back that have not been picked up.  There are also some extra ones.  They are being effective.  People are noticing.  If you are interested in having one for your yard, please take one or make your request at the info center.

Audio Team – Come to church early and help setup the audio equipment (speakers, microphones, etc).  Work with the worship team to adjust the volume of the speakers and monitors.  Manage the sound board during service to make sure everything sounds great.

Video Team – Create the presentation slides during the week to correspond with the songs and message being used on Sunday.  Come to church early and help setup the video equipment.  Run the slides during service so everyone can follow along.

We can teach you how to do either of these ministries very quickly and they are not overwhelming at all.  For more information contact Steve Schmechel (Video) and/or Scott Daniel (Audio).

Sermon Series
We’ll be studying 1Peter in our next sermon series starting January 8. Please take some time this week to read the first chapter of 1Peter.

Office Closed 1/2/12

FOLKS update
Our Friday night fun night was a success. We had six families participate with about 15 children and everyone had a great time.

Childcare Help Needed
The Financial Peace University class is looking for one adult to help with childcare.  Classes are Thursdays from 6 – 8PM during January.  If you can help one Thursday or multiples, please contact Colleen Boehm @ 262-820-2493.
