One of the purposes of Oakbrook Church is to provide the resources, opportunities and an environment where people can GROW in their relationship with Jesus Christ and ultimately grow to be more like Him.

We do that in many ways, but one in particular is Grow Groups.  Grow Groups are small group atmospheres that meet together and learn from scripture, books by well-respected authors, and from each other how they can grow to be more like Christ.

We are all at a different place on our spiritual journey.  So whether you are just coming to faith, or you’re looking to really dig deeper into scripture, or if you’re looking to grow with a group of men or women just like you, we’ve got a Grow Group just for you.

Life is full of questions — some basic, some mind-boggling.  Whether you are new to the faith, coming back to church, or simply curious, you’ll appreciate the safe environment where you can explore real faith, ask tough questions and meet new people.

Discussing foundational truths of life in Christ provides you the opportunity to grow, wherever you are in your faith journey.  Join us in this 6-week study as we talk about:

* Salvation by grace
* Baptism
* Following Christ
* The Bible
* and much more…

A workbook is used for this group and costs $10.  You can order a book through Oakbrook Church at registration.  A bible is also recommended.  If you don’t have one, we will give you one.

This small group will lead to membership at Oakbrook Church for those who are interested.

Trying to live as a Christian in today’s world is hard. Using books and studies from world renown Pastors and Christian authors, we look at ways to grow in our faith in our everyday lives.

Questions Every Christian Hears (And Probably Ask Themselves)

During the Christian spiritual journey, followers of Christ are asked and forced to eventually face some basic faith-related questions. Some of the questions that we’ll tackle are: Wasn’t Jesus just a man? How can you believe the Bible? Aren’t I good enough? What must we do to please God? And many more tough questions!

For more information or if you have questions, contact Jim Zeirke.

 “Made to Crave” by Lysa Terkeurst

Ladies, the reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn’t a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him, not food. This is not a how-to guide. This is not the latest and greatest dieting plan. This book is the necessary companion for you to use alongside whatever healthy lifestyle plan you choose.

Books and participant guides are recommended, but not necessary.  They are available for purchase from Amazon or check your local library.

Childcare will not be provided.

For more information or if you have questions, contact Jenny Meulemans.
