Children’s Ministry
Every child is precious in the sight of God. We take that seriously by valuing and taking great care with all our children. A safe, secure environment is provided for all. We partner with parents to make each child feel loved and welcomed with lots of smiles when they arrive.
We divide the children into groups so we can tailor the ministry instruction to their specific needs.
Nursery
| Oakbrook Nursery is a safe, clean and welcoming environment where children from birth to 3 years of age learn about the love of Jesus through loving interaction with our screened volunteer teachers and helpers. Our play areas have age appropriate toys, puzzles and books and are partitioned to separate infants from toddlers. We have story and craft time for the older children followed by a simple snack. It is a fun place to be! |  |
Preschool

In pre-school we love and teach God’s precious little ones. Children will learn about God through worship, crafts, Bible lessons, playtime, games and prayer. Our desire is that the children will develop a hunger and thirst to know Jesus and grow to have a prayer life as well. |
Early Elementary
| In the Early Elementary Sunday school, children learn a new Bible story each morning. We use engaging and age-appropriate activities to reinforce the Bible teaching and encourage the children to apply the lesson in their daily walk with God. We also work on memorizing Bible verses, making crafts that relate to the Bible story, and praying to end our time together. |  |
Later Elementary

In Middle Elementary we strive to help our children grow into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through Scripture, memory verses, Bible games and small group discussion. Our aim is to teach the kids to practice the principles of what they learned in God’s Word |
