Oakbrook Church first started meeting at Woodside Elementary in Sussex in September 2007. In June 2012, Oakbrook moved to Maple Elementary to accommodate construction at Woodside Elementary. With much excitement, in April 2014 we finally moved into a place to call our own.

Demolition and construction of our new space started in January 2014. Through the hard work and dedication of an army of volunteers (and a few skilled contractors) the space began to take shape in just weeks. And it was a great reminder in the midst of this project that the church is more than just a building, it’s the people who gather together.

Why the new space?

It has always been the vision of Oakbrook to be in a place to call it’s own. After many years of prayer, we are finally seeing the dream become a reality. This new space allows us to minister to and serve the community throughout the week through Bible studies, prayer meetings, training events, seminars and family activities.

It’s our prayer that you will find it to be a place of love, joy, acceptance and fellowship. But most of all, we hope that it will be a place that you can grow closer to God through Jesus Christ.

If you’ve got any questions our want to talk to someone, give us a shout. We’d love to talk to you.
