MISSION STATEMENT

Oakbrook Church exists to proclaim the glory of God, respond to the worth of the world and form believers into ministers of Jesus Christ

* Our worship will be transformational
* Our growth will be intentional
* Our service will be unconditional
* Our impact will be influential

FOUNDATIONS

* Christ will build His Church[1]
* Christ will appoint its leadership[2]
* Holy Spirit will equip each believer with gifts for service[3]

We are to work in concert with God to form a community of believers who irresistibly influence others, compelling them to:

* Follow Christ to salvation – discover faith in Him
* Follow Christ to surrendered growth – develop walk with Him
* Follow Christ to servanthood – devote life to Him

PURPOSES

Proclaim the Glory of God

* The Sovereignty of God
* The Centrality of Christ
* The Freedom of the Spirit

Provide worship experiences that connect people to God through live and video preaching and teaching

Respond to the Worth of the World

* Caring outreach
The Church reaches out to people in an act of service because it cares for them[4]
* Sharing Outreach
The Church lives the gospel among the people in Spirit-led fashion, bringing them into relationship with Jesus Christ

Form Believers into Ministers

* Discover faith in Christ - Discovery groups and mentoring
* Develop walk with Christ - Digging deeper community groups
* Devote life to Christ - Leaders by Design

Prescribe Christ’s example of servanthood to all believers
